What does the cream smell like?

What does the cream smell like?

Usually, synthetic oils and artificial components are odorless. Their scent is due to the use of artificial perfumes. A small drop fills the cream with a stable chemical aroma. Those who have a “clean nose” and are not used to artificial smells will definitely feel the chemical additive.

In natural cosmetics, the scent depends on the composition of oils, plant extracts, and natural flavors, which can be both essential oils and extracts from plants.

Smell linseed oil, or, better yet, unrefined shea butter. It will be an unforgettable experience! You can also smell olive and sunflower oil. What if we combine them? Natural oils are very beneficial for the skin. The more diverse the oil mixture, the greater its useful properties. However, the final smell can be quite unusual. Plant extracts often have a pleasant but weak aroma, the concentration of which has little effect on the smell of the final product.

Cream gets the final smell after essential oils or natural flavors are added to it. No matter how much I experimented, it was a difficult task to give the cream a perfect scent. It’s very difficult to get a persistent and “pure aroma” that everyone will like. Essential oils smell great, but their smell evaporates quickly. The scent of natural cosmetics, even well preserved, changes over time. The smell of the cream during its first use may differ after a week, while the beneficial properties of the product itself do not change.

Also, the smell can vary from batch to batch. The smell of oil from the new container may differ from the previous one. The smell of natural cosmetics resembles the smell of a pharmacy. But not a modern pharmacy, where sterile purity was created for synthetic non-perishable products. Rather, the old chemist’s shop, in which the smell of camphor hovered over transparent glass bottles filled with herbal elixirs. One of the customers once told me: “The smell of this cream reminded me of my grandmother’s medicine!”
